The North Dakota District Export Council (ND DEC) provides mentoring and direct assistance to business people who are either already exporting or are investigating the possiblity of exporting. DEC Board members, experienced international business people, are ready to point you in the right direction.
Who we are?
Board members are appointed to the North Dakota District Export Council (ND DEC) by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce. Members are selected based on their background in international business and their willingness to share that knowledge to help promote the export of U.S. products and services from their state.

What we do?
The ND DEC promotes exporting through education, mentoring and hands-on assistance. Each DEC Board member is committed to improving the North Dakota and U.S. economy by increasing our export business. Seminars, networking, media relations, government interaction — ND DEC works to encourage all of the many groups involved to export North Dakota products and services.

The ND DEC's mission is to promote the export of North Dakota products and services. ND DEC is a non-profit registered charitable organization and a 501(c)3 corporation qualified to receive donations to help its program efforts.

The ND DEC was instrumental in the creation and organization of the Export North Dakota program as well as the ND Trade Office. Together with various state agencies, export service providers and private business, ND DEC has worked to provide assistance for North Dakota businesses that want to enter exporting or who are looking to expand their business.

Education is a key component of the DEC program. ND DEC has been a strong sponsor of export education programs and seminars in the past including the Global Business Conference.
